El Desconocido Feb.4th 2026, 8pm
Khan of Finland is a Turkish-Finnish-German artist and musician working between Berlin, New York, and Mexico City. His multidisciplinary practice spans sound, performance, image, and text, exploring historical, social, and perceptual questions at the threshold between analog and digital.
Drawing on research, ritual, and improvisation, his work often engages with ambiguity, projection, and collective memory. Khan performs and exhibits internationally.
His current solo show, Fal Bakmak, presented at the Museo de la Ciudad Querétaro, is based on the Turkish practice of reading coffee grounds as a queer social and interpretive ritual. At El Desconocido, Khan presents an excerpt from the Querétaro exhibition, performs a live reading paired with songs from his repertoire, and concludes the evening with a DJ set of oriental disco tunes.
